Who are we?
At FLA Leadership, we are on a mission to increase cognitive diversity in leadership. Through academies, events, and networking initiatives, we support students and young professionals in developing their skills and connecting with organisations and role models.
Your Role
As Head of Student Operations in Aalborg, you are responsible for planning and executing the annual Students Academy – one of FLA’s core initiatives. The Academy consists of six workshops delivered over 2–3 months each fall, equipping approximately 35 students with leadership skills.
You will design the overall structure of the Academy and ensure a coherent and high-quality experience across workshops. This includes reaching out to and securing relevant speakers to facilitate sessions, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth execution.
In addition, you will plan and execute two leadership events each year to promote the Academy and strengthen our local presence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Secure partnerships and sponsorships for the Academy
- Reaching out to speakers who will facilitate the workshops
- Manage the application process and select participants
- Ensure participants feel welcomed, supported, and engaged throughout the programme
- Collaborate with Marketing to promote the Academy and related events
- Create structure within the team and continuously improve workflows
- Lead the Student Operations team and recruit new team members when needed
As the Aalborg team continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to shape how we structure and develop the Students Academy locally, while collaborating closely with the national organisation.
Who Are You?
You are structured, proactive, and comfortable taking responsibility for larger initiatives. You enjoy creating clarity, ensuring progress, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
You are confident reaching out to speakers and partners and comfortable maintaining professional communication. You understand the importance of creating a welcoming and supportive environment where participants feel valued and engaged.
We value experience within project management, event planning, leadership development, or partnerships, but most importantly, we are looking for someone who is genuinely motivated to contribute to FLA’s mission of increasing diversity in leadership.
Time Commitment
We expect approximately 5-10 hours a week to be dedicated to your FLA tasks. This will vary depending on the Academy period, event cycles, and other responsibilities.
The Team
You will lead the Student Operations team in Aalborg and collaborate closely with the Head of Aalborg as well as other FLA teams in Aalborg and across Denmark, including Ambassadors, Marketing, and People & Culture. As part of a growing local team, you will have real influence and play a central role in delivering one of FLA’s most important initiatives.
