Who are we?
At FLA Leadership, we’re on a mission to increase diversity in leadership. We launched our first Academy back in 2020, and since then we’ve helped over +10.000 students and professionals develop their leadership skills and get a head-start in their careers.
The role
As a Student Operations Associate, you will help plan and coordinate our Students Academy in Aarhus. The next Academy will take place in the fall and consists of six workshops with different leadership themes.
You will help make sure the Academy runs smoothly from planning to execution. This includes brainstorming workshop themes, reaching out to speakers, coordinating practical details, communicating with participants, and helping create a welcoming and valuable experience during the workshops.
You can read more about the Students Academy here.
Examples of tasks include:
- Finding and contacting relevant speakers
- Coordinating workshop dates, rooms, materials, and practical details
- Communicating with participants before and during the Academy
- Helping create a welcoming atmosphere at the workshops
- Collecting feedback and improving the participant experience
Who are you?
You are currently studying at a Danish university and would like to be part of a mission-driven organisation with other engaged students and young professionals.
You are motivated, curious, and willing to learn. You should be comfortable taking responsibility, communicating with others, and following through on your tasks.
Experience with planning events or coordinating activities is a plus, but most importantly, you are excited about creating a great experience for FLA participants.
What you’ll gain
You will gain hands-on experience with event planning, communication, coordination, and working with speakers and participants. You will also become part of a supportive volunteer community and contribute to developing future leaders.
Time
We expect approx. 5-10 hours per week spent working closely with other members of the operations team, as well as occasional meetings with the broader FLA team. The workload may vary depending on ongoing tasks and deadlines, and it is significantly lower during exam periods. We work flexibly with a mix of physical and virtual meetings, and we coordinate as a team so the work fits around studies and other responsibilities.
