Who are we?
FLA Leadership is a nonprofit leadership accelerator working to increase cognitive diversity in top management. We develop aspiring talents early in their careers by inspiring, educating, and connecting them with the right network. Through our academies, community, and global engagement, we empower young leaders to step confidently into their first leadership role.
Since launching our first Academy in 2020, we have supported more than 10,000 students and professionals in accelerating their leadership journeys. Our mission is simple: to democratize leadership opportunities and increase diversity in top management.
The Team
You’ll join our Marketing & PR Team, working closely with the PR Lead, Head of Marketing, and other creative professionals dedicated to increasing FLA’s impact and visibility. Together, you’ll craft engaging narratives that inspire change and highlight the voices of women in leadership.
You’ll also collaborate with other FLA teams across Europe.
The Role
As our Global PR Associate, you will help establish FLA Leadership as an internationally recognised organisation. Your role will combine international media relations, strategic storytelling, content development, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building. You will identify the journalists, platforms, organisations, and thought leaders who can help bring FLA’s mission and work to wider audiences.
You will also help turn FLA’s international expansion plans, partnerships, activities, and impact into compelling stories that are relevant across different countries and cultural contexts.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a growing international function and help shape how FLA communicates and positions itself globally.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support and execute FLA’s international PR strategy, ensuring clear and consistent messaging
- Develop and adapt written PR materials, including press releases, media pitches, briefing materials, and communication content for international audiences.
- Build relationships with international journalists, media outlets, influencers, organisations, and thought leaders.
- Identify relevant international media opportunities, platforms, events, podcasts, and networks.
- Pitch FLA’s initiatives, experts, partnerships, and impact stories to international media and position FLA and CEO within international conversations about leadership, equality, representation, and social impact.
- Support communications around international launches, partnerships, activities, and expansion milestones.
- Act as a point of contact for international media inquiries and selected external relationships.
- Monitor relevant international media trends and emerging communication opportunities and help track international PR activities, relationships, coverage, and impact.
Who are you?
You are an internationally minded, proactive, and relationship-driven communicator who enjoys connecting with people from different backgrounds, identifying opportunities, and turning ideas and initiatives into stories that engage new audiences.
You are comfortable reaching out to journalists, stakeholders, and potential partners and are motivated by the challenge of building relationships from the ground up. You understand that international communication requires curiosity, cultural awareness, and the ability to adapt messages without losing the organisation’s identity.
You have strong written communication skills and enjoy turning ideas, initiatives, and impact stories into clear and compelling narratives for different audiences.
You may have professional experience or be studying communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, international relations, business, or a related field. Most importantly, you are motivated to help FLA Leadership expand its reach and become a recognised voice internationally.
You are confident in communicating professionally in English. Additional languages and experience living, studying, or working internationally are considered strong advantages.
Time Commitment
Approximately 5 – 10 hours per week, depending on the workload and academy schedule. This may vary during busy periods.
