Who are you?
You’re a curious, analytical, and proactive problem-solver with a strong can-do attitude. You enjoy working with data, asking the right questions, and turning information into insights that people can actually use.
You thrive in environments where things are still being built, enjoy creating structure where there is ambiguity, and take ownership of your work from idea to implementation. You care about data quality, clarity, and impact — not just analysis for analysis’ sake.
You may have experience or interest in business analysis, data analytics, operations, or strategy. Most importantly, you’re motivated by using data to support better decisions in a mission-driven organization working to increase cognitive diversity in top management.
The Role
As a Business Analyst in the Strategic Projects Team, you will act as a data and insights partner to FLA leadership and teams across the organization.
Your core focus will be on enabling data collection, building dashboards, analyzing performance, and translating data into insights that inform strategic and operational decisions. You’ll help shape how FLA measures success, understands its impact, and scales sustainably.
This is a hands-on role where your ability to think analytically, work independently, collaborate across teams, and communicate insights clearly will be critical.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Enabling structured and consistent data collection across FLA’s academies, and events
- Building and maintaining dashboards and reports that provide leadership with clear, actionable insights
- Analyzing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement across academies and operations
- Defining and tracking KPIs in collaboration with leadership and functional teams
- Translating analysis into clear insights and recommendations for decision-makers
- Supporting strategic initiatives with data-driven analysis and performance tracking
- Collaborating closely with marketing, operations, finance, and academy teams to understand data needs and ensure insights are applied in practice
- Continuously improving reporting processes, data quality, and analytical workflows
Time Commitment
Approximately 5–10 hours per week, depending on ongoing projects and initiatives. The workload may vary during periods of major initiatives or decision-making.
The Team
You’ll join the Strategic Projects Team, a small, high-impact team working closely with FLA leadership. You’ll gain exposure to decision-making at the core of the organization and play a key role in building FLA’s data and insights foundation.
